“What is it about the English countryside — why is the beauty so much more than visual? Why does it touch one so?” – Dodie Smith, I Capture the Castle
Every now and again, I simply have to stop the car and preserve what I can of a scene. This photo, taken late this morning as the fog was burning off, was one such moment. My Galaxy Note 3 has a fantastic camera, but even it has not quite caught the dreamy feel that accompanies rolling countryside fading off in to the distance. What is more, it could not possibly capture the fog gradually giving birth to a pale blue sky, or the warmth to follow. I am so glad I braved the barbed wire in skirt and (expensive!) wool coat… it was worth it!
Have a glorious Wednesday, my lovelies! Spend a little time in your garden if you can… the chickens and I are planning to do just that.
