500!

shutterstock_262992527   Wahaaaay! I can’t believe it either, really – just reached a BIG milestone here at Mother Hen Diaries – 500 whole followers! Some of them are ACTUALLY people and all, which is completely amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for coming along for this crazy ride.  In honour of this latest achievement, I thought I would bore you with a few facts about our very well known number 500: D is the symbol for 500 in the Latin numeral system. Frankly, I think this is awesome, since my name begins with D – what are the odds? Also, according to Archimedes lab, org, 500 is known as Cinquecento in Italian, which is also the name of “a small well-known car fiat 500appreciated worldwide by car enthusiasts.” The Fiat Cinquecento, recently re-released as the Fiat 500, is not my favourite car by any stretch. In truth, it is my LEAST favourite. No disrespect intended to Fiat 500 owners, but the 500’s most distinguishing feature is its complete and utter lack of any distinguishing feature.

In truth, I go a little Mr. Bean on the Fiat 500…

or Maggie with the kid with the unibrow…

Ok – so now I’m way off track. And you are surprised because…..? Apart from the fact that $500 was my very first credit limit granted when I was in college, and that, according to stetson.edu, 500 is the number of planar partitions of 10 (whatever that means…), and that I could so use an extra £500 at any given moment in time (you know, rabbit feed, shoe money…), there’s not much else to say about it, except a massive, massive THANK YOU to all who have found and joined me here! Y’all are great… no really, you ARE! Just let me know when you want to get together for virtual Karaoke… I can warble along with the worst of them, and you’ll love me for making you look so awesome. Thanks again, everyone!
